Technical Specification (TS) Development

A technical specification is the foundation of a successful website project. It’s not just a formal document, but a roadmap that clearly defines tasks, responsibilities, and the scope of work. Thanks to the TS, both the client and the development team share the same vision of the final result.

The level of detail in the TS directly influences the project’s success. The more complete and precise the document, the smoother and faster the development process will be.

The cost of preparing a TS depends on:

  • How much initial information is already available.
  • The number and complexity of the features requested.

Since every business is unique, websites often require different sets of functions. The more custom requirements there are, the more time and expertise is needed to craft a high-quality TS — and this is what determines the final cost.

Website Design Cost

Design is one of the most important stages of website development, as it shapes how your brand is perceived online. The final cost depends on the number of unique page layouts that need to be created. The more variations of page structure your project requires, the higher the design budget will be.

There are two main ways to calculate the price:

  • Per unique page – a fixed price for each individual layout.
  • By time spent – depending on how many design hours the project requires.

For example, even a classic business website usually includes around 7 unique layouts:

  • Homepage.
  • Service or product catalog + individual service/product page.
  • Contact page.
  • Blog/news list + single article page.
  • FAQ or support page.
  • 404 error page.

It’s also important to keep in mind that modern websites must be responsive — looking equally good on desktops, tablets, and smartphones. Each responsive version is designed separately and typically costs the same as the desktop design.

If you need multiple languages, every additional version increases the design workload by around 20–50%.

Starting price: €33 per page

Website Front-End Development (HTML/CSS)

Once the design is ready, the next step is front-end development — one of the most crucial stages of building a website. During this phase, design layouts are transformed into clean, semantic code (HTML/CSS), ensuring that every browser displays the site correctly and consistently.

The cost of coding is not fixed and depends on several factors:

  • The complexity of the design.
  • The number of unique layouts to be coded.
  • The scope of responsive versions (desktop, tablet, mobile).
  • Additional requirements for code quality and cross-browser compatibility.

For projects where design mockups are already prepared, we provide a more precise estimate after reviewing the files. This allows us to define:

  • How many screen resolutions the site must support.

Website Programming & Custom Functionality

To ensure your website works exactly the way your business needs, sometimes additional functionality must be developed beyond the standard CMS features. That’s why even a small website with only 5 pages can cost more than a large multi-page project — the final price depends on the complexity of the features and the amount of custom coding required.

Starting price: €10/hour

Website Content Management

Adding and formatting content is just as important as design and development — it ensures your site is not only functional but also informative and engaging for visitors. Content management includes uploading text, images, videos, product cards, and setting up internal linking for better navigation.

This stage is often billed per hour of work, since the scope can vary greatly depending on the type of content and its volume.

Starting price: €8/hour

Project Management & Client Consulting

Effective communication is a key part of any project — but it also takes time. The more frequent and lengthy the consultations, the higher the final project cost will be. To optimize your budget, it’s best to prepare a clear list of requirements for your website and discuss them with the developer before the work begins.

Starting price: €15/hour

Website Development Costs by Type

Web projects can be classified in many ways, but the most common is by purpose and content. This category includes landing pages, business card websites, corporate portals, e-commerce stores, directories, blogs, forums, social networks, and online services.

  • Simplest option: A one-page landing or a small business card website (1–3 pages). Such websites are designed to quickly introduce a company or person and capture visitors’ attention. Prices start from €145.
  • Most complex option: A full online service or web portal with interactive tools (search, forums, email, polls, etc.). The minimum cost for such projects starts from €15,000.

Landing Page Cost

A landing page is a single-page website designed to encourage visitors to take a specific action — such as making a purchase, signing up for an online course, or calling a phone number.

The key feature of a landing page is that all content is presented on one scrollable page, making it concise and focused compared to multi-page websites, which often take months to build and cost significantly more.

On average, a landing page can be designed and developed within one week, with prices starting from €300
